My Therapeutic Approach

There are many different approaches to therapy and it is important that you find the approach that will work best for you!

Therapy should be about YOU and your needs. Each and every person is unique and the work done in therapy is not one-size-fits-all. As we get to know one another, we will collaborate to tailor your experience in counseling to your specific needs. My role as a therapist is to meet you wherever you are on your journey and partner with you to achieve your goals in a safe space.

I use a holistic approach to treat you as a whole person, in mind, body, and spirit. This means that I utilize multiple modalities to best serve you. Some of the approaches I use include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), art therapy techniques, and mindfulness and coping tools.

I have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health and enjoy working with women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I also have experience working with adolescents and adults treating trauma and mood disorders.
